Good News:

Manila Standard Today

The Philippines has won its arbitration case against the builder of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, paving the way for the airport’s full operation in December and its eventual privatization.
.....
The Piatco consortium, led by Germany’s Fraport and its local partner Paircargo of the Cheng family, had wanted to be paid $1.1 billion after the government abrogated the graft-ridden contract and expropriated the airport terminal in 2004.

The World Bank also dismissed a similar claim for compensation by Fraport AG in 2006....

Pros: beach front, very affordable, courteous staff, rooms with safety deposit box and mini-fridge.

Cons: there are mosquitos inside the room and everytime I turned on the air-con the floor gets wet and slippery.

Overall Rating: highly recommended due to it's location and excellent staffs.

Bvlgari Aqua Marine Cologne by Bvlgari, This limited-edition interpretation of bvlgari's aqva pour homme is distinguished by a new luminous color, inspired by the iridescent reflections of water. It contains notes of mandarin, petit grain, santolina, posidonia, mineral amber. Its fresh, elegant and masculine.

I got a bargain last Sunday at SM Makati. I bought this Bulgari Sport Set (Aqua Marine Perfume, Shampoo and a Bulgari Gym Bag) and you have an option to buy another Bulgari Perfume with a 50% discount so I bought another Aqua Marine.

A fraudster steals victim's banking information

A fraudster steals victim's banking information.

When we found out that our wallet, purse or important stuff were missing or stolen, most of the time we go on panic and talk to other people what happened. We should always keep in mind that some of this people might be one of the fraudsters who just want stay in the scene just to get some important information from us. So beware, if this happens to you just call the police to file a police report and call your banks immediately. Remember what mama keeps on telling you when you are younger...don't talk to strangers.

I have work for two international bank and as part of the verification of the customer they doesn't ask you to verify your ATM or Credit Card PIN over the phone except for phonebanking code or password which is totally different from an ATM/Credit Card PIN. The PIN is being generated automatically by the system and no one knows your PIN except you, even your issuing bank doesn't know the PIN that was given to you. If you forgot your PIN, the only way will be to call customer service and have them submit a request for a system generated PIN. Again, you should not be giving your PIN to anyone even to the "customer service" of your bank.

Another thing, you should always have a copy of phone numbers of your bank just to make sure that you are calling the correct customer service number.

Series 63 (The Uniform Securities Agent State Law)

Thank goodness it's over. I just took the Series 63 exam this morning and to my surprised I passed with a rating of 81% hahaha same rating with my Series 7 exam, what a coincidence. I was very surprised because the learning material was given 3 weeks ago after passing my Series 7 exam and I only started reading the material in the last 9 hours prior to the actual exam, lucky me!

"Bahala na si Batman", this is what I said to myself before taking the exam.

After five weeks of rigorous training, it finally paid off. Last thursday (May 07, 2009), I took the Series 7 (General Securities Representative Exam) in Prometrics, Ateneo de Manila. I passed the exam with a rating of 81% (passing is 70%) and when I checked my name yesterday it is already listed in The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) database of broker.

The exam was pretty hard and you will be needing all the neurons in your brains. Thank goodness I mastered the options before taking the exam. I made sure that I will be able to answer correctly all questions relating to options.

My guide for options:
MP: Market Price
SP: Strike Price
MG: Maximum Gain
ML: Maximum Loss
BE: Breakeven

If a customer short (sell) the stock and wants a protection, he should Long (buy) a call.
If a customer short (sell) the stock and wants an additional income, he should short (sell) a put.
If a customer Long (buy) the stock and wants a protection, he should Long (buy) a put.
If a customer Long (buy) the stock and wants an additional income, he should short (sell) a call.

Thanks to our excellent trainers Anna, Queenie and Jay for helping us throughout the entire series 7 training program. I wouldn't be able to pass this broker's exam without your help.
