Journey in The Ellen DeGeneres Show and CBS

The legendary band Journey made their television debut yesterday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Journey in CBS

In December 2007, the band hired Filipino singer Arnel Pineda of the cover band The Zoo after Neal Schon saw him on YouTube singing covers of Journey songs. Journey debuted their new lead singer in February 2008 at the ViƱa del Mar International Song Festival in Chile, and the band announced that they would be producing a new album with Pineda by the summer.

Journey's new song "After All These Years" played in 92.9 The Wave's Nightwaves hosted by Suzanne Snowden. This is fantastic. Just play the video below.

Revelation is the first studio album with vocalist Arnel Pineda (current lead singer of Journey) and features 11 new songs, 11 re-recorded greatest hits and a DVD of a live concert. Penned by Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain, two singles were released to radio in April 2008, the distinctively Journey-sounding "Never Walk Away" and the haunting ballad "After All These Years", both of which have now received extensive airplay on rock stations throughout the US.

The album will be released in the US on June 3, 2008 exclusively through Walmart (pre-orders and singles are available now through Walmart.com), and it will be released in Europe on June 6, 2008, through Frontiers Records.- wikipedia.com

Charice in "David Foster and Friends" - Las Vegas

Charice Pempengco or just simply "CHARICE" was invited to participate in one night only live concert tribute to legendary producer David Foster (David Foster & Friends, Mandalay Bay Resort Las Vegas, May 23, 2008). She sang a medley of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and "I Have Nothing". After receiving a standing ovation from the crowd on her rendition of Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard soundtracks, David Foster immediately played the "And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going" from the soundtrack of Dreamgirls and Charice sang it unrehearsed which earned her another standing ovation from the crowd.

The show also featured Michael Johns, Andrea Bocelli, Babyface, Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Kenny G., Katharine McPhee, Brian McKnight and Boz Scaggs to name a few.

Here's the video from youtube on her outstanding performance that evening.

Laughter

Today, I would say that most people have forgotten the art of laughing. For some people, the hard realities life has stifled their capacity to laugh. A few others grew up in a ‘serious’ atmosphere where laughter was frowned upon. Still others are possibly instructed that ‘to be successful and mature is to be serious’. One thing is certain; those who have forgotten to laugh heartily lose one of the best joys of life.

We can do nothing about the past except that we learn lessons from it for the present. Our failure to laugh in the past and the consequent failure to experience joy in life should give us necessary incentive to laugh today. Everyone enjoys humor. Even grim-faced persons, who refuse to laugh, laugh at a good humor.

Life is a serious business. In order to give sufficient seriousness to life, we must also learn to take life with a sense of humor because virtue lies in the middle. There has to be a balance between work and play, accomplishment and enjoyment, strictness and liberality. Emphasizing one at the expense of the other makes us depressed, while ignoring the first and indulging in the other leads to disaster. We may be goal-oriented persons, but we can better achieve the goal if we give sufficient time to relax through laughter. Laugh more and live longer.

The Seven Wonders of the World

The Seven Wonders of the World

1. To See
2. To Taste
3. To Touch
4. To Laugh
5. To hear
6. To Feel
7. To Love

The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and take for granted are truly wondrous! Here’s a reminder for you. The most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought with money. They are found within the quietness of your heart and home.
