Laughter

Today, I would say that most people have forgotten the art of laughing. For some people, the hard realities life has stifled their capacity to laugh. A few others grew up in a ‘serious’ atmosphere where laughter was frowned upon. Still others are possibly instructed that ‘to be successful and mature is to be serious’. One thing is certain; those who have forgotten to laugh heartily lose one of the best joys of life.

We can do nothing about the past except that we learn lessons from it for the present. Our failure to laugh in the past and the consequent failure to experience joy in life should give us necessary incentive to laugh today. Everyone enjoys humor. Even grim-faced persons, who refuse to laugh, laugh at a good humor.

Life is a serious business. In order to give sufficient seriousness to life, we must also learn to take life with a sense of humor because virtue lies in the middle. There has to be a balance between work and play, accomplishment and enjoyment, strictness and liberality. Emphasizing one at the expense of the other makes us depressed, while ignoring the first and indulging in the other leads to disaster. We may be goal-oriented persons, but we can better achieve the goal if we give sufficient time to relax through laughter. Laugh more and live longer.

Laughing is a stress reliever. It's like getting drunk where you could have fun and all but at the end of the day, you get back to reality...with things that you can't just laugh at.

Humor is one thing that I can never live without. I find humor in everything even in death. I recently told a friend of mine that one of our friends went home to the Philippines because his father is dying. He said to me, "Oh - please tell him - Advance (condolences)!" (As in the typical Advance Greetings for Birthdays and such). We laughed at the humor knowing that it was meant simply to lighten things up.

Well, there's no perfect way on how to live, but I guess symmetry in life is essential since our everyday outcome varies on how we feel outside and inside.

I hadn't have a good laugh before i joined Pylon.. it's one of the "elite" (ehem..) organizations in our school. Everytime, I'm with this group, all my problems just vanish in a snap... Yup, that's exactly how I feel. I often tell my co-Pylonites that the "Pylon laughter" is what is making me stronger and keeping me alive... Now, I learned to laugh at my mistakes and problems...

That is the reason why I am with my boyfriend, we often laugh together:-) And here we have many funny things in the TV, so if I want to laugh I just turn on the TV or youtube :-D try to search human tetris there:-D
