How do I feel about self-centered people?

Self-centered people are those who only wants to help when there is a clear benefit for them, a type of people who constantly talk about themselves. Self centered people are immature, and will never change. They are not bad people but I keep a distance and don't criticize. I might be friends with them but it will never be a close friendship.
